Melissa & Doug Fashion Friends Magnetic Dress-Up Wooden Dolls Pretend Play Set (2 Dolls, 2 Stands, 42 Wooden Magnets)

We love the Melissa and Doug Fashion Friends magnetic dolls! I got this for my 7 year old daughter. She absolutely loves this set and can sit and play with them for hours. She dresses them up, and can easily and quickly change their outfits and add/change accessories, as she carries them around and plays "house" with them throughout the day. They come in a high quality, sturdy wood tray (measures 11.5" by 12.5" and 1.5" deep) with a thick plastic liner. The clear plastic lid opens up and there are spots for each doll, their stands, and several slots to organize and sort the different clothing options and accessories (49 pieces in all). I initially thought the plastic liner insert would crack, break, or fall apart, but it is surprisingly well-made and has withstood countless hours of play and still looks new. The dolls themselves are made of a thick and sturdy wood, and they fit into their stands and are able to stand up perfectly, even on rugs or carpet flooring. The magnetic clothing pieces stick very well to the dolls, and are sturdy, thick, and well-made. Even after countless hours of play, the magnetic doll set doesn't show any wear whatsoever. I know this set will definitely last for years and she can then pass it on to a younger sibling or cousin. The dolls and accessories are a nice large size that allow kids to easily handle them (each doll measures 11.25" from the bottom stand to the top of the doll's head!) I like that the doll's outfit choices are very appropriate, modest, and stylish. I tend to stay away from the immodest (and downright inappropriate!) dolls that have taken over and saturated the toy doll isles. I am thankful for this super cute set of dolls! I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this set. I would highly recommend these magnetic dolls to a girl of any age, up to about 10 years of age. This would also make a great birthday gift for the daughter, granddaughter, or little girl in your life. Even though there are definitely a lot of pieces and outfit combinations, it would be great to have even more outfit pieces or dolls in the future.
