Sock protects rifles from scratches with little increase in bulk . Good for storage in safes and other limited space. Like a extra long tube sock, it will slip over bolt action, lever guns, semi-autos, however , not compatible with pistol grips and large scopes on rifles ,with a butt stock, that result in a height over about 7 inches. It will slip over a shotgun pistol grip w/out a buttstock because it can turn and follow the grip.
