Ever since my son first got hooked on Thomas, almost a year ago, Cranky has been his favorite character. He even got a book filled with pictures of Thomas characters (I mean, it's huge, almost like an encyclopedia) from his Grandpa and after looking at it for a few minutes, he tells me, "There's no Cranky." He had gone through the entire book that fast to see there is no Cranky anywhere. He still loves the book, but was disappointed. He's wanted this piece for so long and he got it for Christmas from his aunt and uncle this past Christmas. He has not stopped talking about "my Cranky". Cranky is used in every track and moves from place to place around the house with him. I'm worried it will start to get some wear with the connection line because of how much he loves it and carries it around with him. That being said, it seems very durable and sturdy. It should hold up for quite a while, it will just be his constant wear and tear that may eventually wear on it.
I love how Cranky has two knobs, one for lifting and one for rotating. Such an awesome and well made toy.
