excellent project, excellent price

This is one of the best projects I have ever bought as a teacher. I first used it with my own children (ages 6 and up), and they found it to be fun and engaging, and very easy to use. I used it with my 6th graders, and they loved it. I've used it at the summer camp I run (ages 12-17) and they love it. Even as an adult, I found myself completely engaged and learning a ton about circuits. I was very impressed by the durability, variability, ease of use, and educational aspects. And you really can't beat the price -- I know, I've searched!

My 6 year old has learned a lot about circuits

I'm and electrical engineer and my wife is a science teacher, so naturally we purchased this for our son long before it was age appropriate. About 3 weeks ago he really started to get into it, at first with some help from us, but now he does most of the projects on his own. My 6-year old knows that electricity is caused by the flow of electrons and can build circuits without the guidance of the book. The pieces are much easier for young hands to manipulate than a standard breadboard. The project book starts with basic concepts and builds on them walking the learner through progressively complex circuits. Because the circuits are powered by 2 AA batteries, my son can safely experiment. The set is also fun for adults who like to tinker. I would recommend this product for anyone looking to learn more about electricity.
