I haven't always been a morning person, but I sure do try! This book certainly has helped me want to wake up earlier. It includes gorgeous, mouth-watering photos and simple, clear recipes that are perfect for breakfasts, but I also enjoy the leftovers at lunch or even dinner! I really enjoyed the author's fun twists on standard breakfast fare, like the stacked sprinkles birthday pancakes, which look similar to a layer cake. I'm saving that one for my son's next birthday. I love her chocolate chip scone recipe and the sugar and spice gingerbread muffins (that we eat with extra molasses on top!). Everything I've tried is delicious, but, I find myself repeatedly heading back to her pancake section. I love the pecan pie pancakes, only 1/3 of a cup of sugar in those, which compared to actual pecan pie is quite low. I also crave the strawberry shortcake pancakes, with layers of berries and whipped cream. Yum! A couple of other family favorites of ours are the easy breakfast bread bowls, where we hollow out a Kaiser roll and bake an egg in it. My kids love that! Also, I really like the crustless broccoli and ham quiche, which I subbed spinach in for the broccoli. I like that it is a lot healthier version of the classic quiche. I would definitely recommend this beautiful and scrumptious cookbook to anyone who would like some amazing breakfast recipes!
