In 1936 Ruth was one of the inaugural inductees into the Baseball Hall of Fame and won three World Series championships with the Red Sox before joining the Yankees Roster, where he would lead the team to four World Series victories and solidify his reputation. Williams joined the Red Sox in 1939 and immediately became known as one of the best batters in the major leagues, with 521 home runs during his career.
