These shoes are comply and flattering. Some canvas shoes are pretty clunky, but these have just the right amount of heft. Also, the footbed is well-cushioned and the shoe is comfortable. I have these shoes in several colors and the older ones still look new, so they are sturdy, hold their shape, and wear well. Usually beige or white shoes make my feet look too obvious. However, these have subtle metallic threads and look great- not too obvious. That is, they blend into your outfit and don't scream, “look at my feet.” I have very tender feet and am extremely picky about style, fit, %26 comfort, and these are my favorite shoes for casual wear. They look great with jeans, shorts, %26 even my T-shirt dresses.
