Wheeler Professional Laser Bore Sighter

Great item very easy to use

Can't believe I hesitated on purchasing this boresighter. It is sturdy (don't drop it, obviously) and it worked, first time. Had two rifles on paper in less than 10 minutes, and with 2 rounds. Higher end match loads, which, if you don't reload is what you should sight in with, will eat into the cost to zero quickly. This diminishes that by a substantial amount I had my doubts, as I had used other laser boresighters in the past, with mediocre success. If you do a lot of shooting, and you mount and/or change glass and sights, this is an invaluable tool. You're also not messing with the crown of your muzzle or the inside of the barrel at a pretty crucial point. Nothing goes inside the barrel. I can't imagine a barrel made with an off-angle muzzle, so it should work on almost anything that will hold a magnet (most stainless used in modern firearms is just as magnetically attractive as regular steel). Some have mentioned that not having it centered on the bore makes it less accurate. Maybe at 300m+, but you're probably not sighting in at 300m+. I tried moving the center point of the magnet off center, and then as centered as I could get it, and it was within a couple of centimeters difference at 100m - that's much less than 99% of us can hold steady, and it was on paper. The reflective grid that comes with it makes the laser substantially more bright than you would think. That said, I'm pretty sure the red laser version of this device would be sufficient, but the green is CLEARLY visible, even in high altitude Colorado sunshine. Good purchase, would buy again. Now, to just keep people from asking to borrow it...
