This filter replaced a DE filter. it was relatively easy to install there is not much too it. Flow is much better through this than the last filter. Running for a couple days so its very early to tell but it seems good.

I'm so in love with this filter!! After all these years wondering if it makes any difference to get down to 3-5 micron size particles with a DE filter I can decisively say NO. My pool is absolutely crystal clear and has required no maintenance or backwashing for over a month now. The pressure gauge hasn't really budged either. With my old Perflex DE filter it needed backwashing every 2-4 weeks. I'm sure I was doing something wrong or it needed replacing but bottom line this filter is idiot-proof and you'll never wonder what is going on or need to clean up DE ever again! So glad I made this purchase.

One of the o-ring were so poorly installed and 2 parts are missing. I call the dealer. The dealer has been very helpful. They offered to replace the filter with a brand new one, the replacement come in a brand new unopened box ! This time I have a filter with 2 poorly installed o-rings ! and one missing part !
