The Remote Alert System is intended to send text or call to the pre-assigned numbers that you set-up and is not intended to replace a home alarm security system. It is not equipped with a siren. The device will not send alerts to any emergency services and cannot not be programmed to dial 911. Before using the device, please check area for wireless coverage and test the device before installing. Also, please regularly check your service end date as the device will not function without active service. The device has a backup battery for short power outage, but the battery should not be relied upon to power the system during power outages.

Features:
  • SMS / Call Alerts if the Motion Sensor is triggered
  • Notify up to 8 friends and neighbors via call or SMS when motion is detected to increase chances of a close-by responder.
  • You can program up to 3 SMS numbers and 5 call numbers.

    Product Specifications:
  • Basic package will come with 1 Controller unit + 1 Motion Sensor. These two items will ship pre-paired.
  • Customers will need to go through the pairing process for any additional accessories purchased outside of the initial kit.
  • It is possible to pair up to 64 sensors/accessories.
  • Up to 16 sensors per zone allowed.
  • In order to pair a unit you must always be in programming mode 1st.
  • You may pair more than one device in the same zone
  • Pairing takes about 1 minute per component

    Emergency Backup Battery
  • An AC adaptor with a 9V backup battery provides continued functionality in the event of a power outage.

  • The arming and disarming of the Straight Talk Remote Alert system can be set by keypad input, Key Fob*, by sending an SMS from one of your registered numbers or by your smartphone with the device management smartphone app available at Google Play for Android" and App Store for iOS.or .

FANTASTIC Product. Why aren't there more reviews?

I live in a semi-remote area where Verizon is the only reliable carrier. When I first read about this product, it seemed too simple and inexpensive to live up to my expectations. Especially with only 2 reviews. But... I gave it a try. The item arrived and I opened it. Registered quickly online with a $100 annual service code, and was ready to try it out. Put the batteries in, and plugged in the main controller. The quick 5-step setup instructions are written so anyone could follow them. Within 10 minutes of opening the package, this was tested and working great! I even set up the smartphone app and it worked on the first try. Everything is super simple! The AMAZING part is that I now have a battery backed up, cell phone connected alarm that WILL WORK if the power, phone and cable ALL STOP WORKING!!! The high priced (in my opinion) monitored alarms generally just use your landline, which can be pretty easily disconnected by any half-witted crook. Try to get one of those alarm companies to hook up a cell phone connection, and it will double the price! Anyone with a detached garage, workshop, office, RV, vacation home or anything that needs protecting should get one of these. For $8/month, what more could you ask for?

inexpensive and easy to use

bought the system and 2 door sensors on the straight talk site great deal.....simple to install just had a hard time after I downloaded the app for phone called straight talk 3 times and finally got somebody who was very helpful and walked me thru step by step......when you get a text saying a zone has been triggered and you want to shut off alarm you need to text Disarm Alarm to that text number same when you want to alarm system text Arm Alarm to that number....this is very helpful especially if you are using this on a summer home when your not there all the time.....
