I wear a 9.5 W and bought these at that size. My feet often swell so I buy a bit large for my unswollen states. Currently my feet are a bit swollen but these at 9.5W aren't long enough or deep enough at the instep. the closure tab is just barely long enough to get a good hold for the velcro. Like all shoes these days, these will not allow for any supportive inserts, even the simple foam types. Just not deep enough. I like them so will return these and go to a larger size. NOTE: With this same order i bought another type of walking shoe, also size 9.5 W. They fit much better. They were longer and deeper, so sizing is a challenge. Check return policies before you buy.
