Must have for new drivers

I recieved the resqme Quick Car Escape Tool Seatbelt Cutter and Window Breaker in Neon. I have had a few different brands of these over the years. The Resqme has to be my favorite! Luckily, I have never had the need to use any quick escape tool. Simply knowing I have it is good enough for me. The Resqme is definitely the lightest, most compact quick escape tool I have ever had, it even comes with it's own keychain so you'll always have it in your car, exactly where its needed. I love the simple yet effective design, it doesn't add much bulk or weight to my keys. It is definitely a conversation starter about safety and peace of mind. At least once a week someone asks me what this brightly colored device is that I carry around. I highly recommend the Resqme to anyone but especially to new or inexperienced drivers. My father gave me one when I got my first car along with explaining how to use it. I believe having an emergency plan in place incase of submersion is extremely important and will help you keep calm in an actual submerged situation. I will not go anywhere without my Resqme.

Short of an actual test

They seem to be well assembled. I tested the snapping glass breaking action on wood and pulled the cover off the seat belt blade. It is sharp. Beyond that, I'm not going to actually break my car window or cut my seat belt. I'm satisfied they will work in an actual emergency.

Great item to have in a car.

I have not tried this on auto glass, but leaves an impression on wood, have used center punches, I believe this would work well. every car should have one. Note these tools are used on shatter type glass (side and back windows), windshield have a layer of plastic, and may not be effective.
