For 20W LED applications that require a constant 12V source and dimming capability, the Magnitude electronic line of Class 2 UL Recognized LED drivers is an ideal choice. They are designed to operate with any standard MLV/Incandescent TRIAC (Leading Edge) dimmer switch. The engineering provides smooth dimming that will dim down to zero with most TRIAC dimmers. This feature makes for a fast and cheap installation for both new and retrofit jobs, as there are less wires then 0-10V dimming, and as mentioned there are over 150 million TRIAC dimmers already installed in North America. Plus, TRIAC dimmers are far less expensive than 0-10V dimmers. The shell of the driver is rugged and made from blue powder-coated aluminum, designed for wet and salty conditions (IP67). At under 1-inch tall the size is very compact and a perfect choice for under cabinet lights, tape lights and various 12V LED fixtures. There are mounting feet when needing to secure the driver or those feet can be removed. The unit is clearly labeled.
