If you're in search of a romantic suspense that's original, has a unique setting that becomes a character of its own, and some heart-pounding action, then you do not want to miss Canyon Survival by Connie Queen.
When Annie (aka Stormy) wakes up in the canyon and can't remember how she got there, who the little girl and baby boy with her are, or who is shooting at her, I was hooked. And this was page one of the book.
Then Riggs enters the scene carrying some heavy baggage laden with guilt and everything ramps up more. Because Riggs is determined not to make the same mistake twice. He will protect Annie and the children right along with his heart.
Queen gives readers a wonderful balance of suspense, emotions, and romance in this book. I loved the unique dangers posed in this book (you'll have to read it to learn more about them). And even thought I had a pretty good inkling of who was behind everything, I had to keep reading to figure out if I was right in addition to seeing how Riggs and Annie would work their relationship out.
