Results from my purchases

The seed packs I bought last fall and planted this spring are all coming up. I am very pleased with that. I also purchased hybrid blackberries plants last fall and they arrived this spring looking just great. They are in the ground and have already become firmly stablished. I also purchased hybrid raspberries last year and they arrived in the fall for planting. They did not look good at all. One of the four plants had a single green leaf on it and I assumed they were already in the dormancy stage. I planted them immediately and expected them to sprout in the spring. These four purchased last fall have not come up or show any signs of sprouting and it is May 3. If I gently touch the small remains of the woody stems on each of them they just break off. No activity at the ground level. I have all four marked with a wooden plant marker and was to to call back by August 1 if they do not come up for refund discussions. I grew up on a farm and I know that if they have not come up by now in early May, they will never come up. The root balls are definitely dead. Do not buy them in the fall is my opinion. Mike
