I Want My MTV! Music Television was the first channel you could tune into to watch different music videos 24/7. Debuting with the famous song "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles, it became the most successful music television service to ever air! In 1981 MTV made an impact by launching its debut off with an actual launch. The footage shown was the Apollo 11 space launch, and a voiceover proclaimed, "Ladies and gentlemen, rock and roll," and with that, MTV was born. In 1984, MTV decided to recognize its roots by making the Moon Man its awards trophy, one of the most coveted trophies an artist can receive. This silk touch blanket features the classic MTV 'Moon Man' with the MTV logo on the flag planted on the moon by the astronaut. The plush throw blanket is made of an extra-soft and comfy 100% polyester fabric. This blanket measures approximately 50"x60". These are the best!
