Each rack is then primed with OEM fluid and tested on a steering simulator to ensure the operation meets the specific requirements for the steering system of your vehicle. Our Inspection Process:

We only rebuild rack and pinions that we are confident can be returned to OEM quality or better

We will never rebuild a steering rack with any signs of water damage, extensive rust, or irreparable bends or breaks

Any racks with cross-threaded or stripped pressure ports are not considered for repair

Our Assembly Process:

Genuine OEM seals are installed on every unit to ensure optimum performance

New steel sleeves are installed in all domestic and import aluminum-style housings

Pinion tower port threads are inspected and new O-rings installed with every rebuild

All high pressure power steering fluid lines are thoroughly cleaned, tested and replaced if necessary

Rack shafts are conditioned to OE level quality and performance through a precision centerless grinding process

New premium grade rubber boots and stainless steel clamps are installed on every rack

Mounting bushings are included on most applications

Inner tie rods are thoroughly inspected, remanufactured or replaced if necessary

Our Testing Process:

All racks are tested for external leaks, hydraulic fluid flow, seal pressure, valve operation, and noise

Applications with electronic power assist - including ZF Servotronic and Saginaw Magnasteer racks - are tested using a 12-volt system

As a final step, all racks must undergo rigorous road simulation to ensure proper performance under true road conditions
