Aluratek 18.5 Digital Photo Frame with Automatic Slideshow and 4GB Built-in Memory (1366 x 768 Resolution, 16:9 Aspect Ratio)

The problem with digital frames is that, while the megapixels of images have increased, the memory in the digital frames have not. This frame has 4 GB of memory in theory(it is more like 3.6 GB in practice). Additionally, unlike many frames, you can set the transition speed from anywhere from 3 sec to 1 min. The main problem is that, with all the digital frames I used previously, I was able to hook the frame up to my computer and upload the photos. This did not work with my present computer(Windows 7 operating system). Attempts to get help from Aluratek yielded no useful information. I was able to work around this by downloading photos to a removeable drive then plugging the removeable drive into the frame. As with most modern technological devices, the instruction manual is ridiculously brief, cursory and inadequate. The frame works, and works well, but I had to do quite a bit of trial and error to set it up. Wish there were other frames with as much or more memory, but, for the time being, this seems to be the only one out there.

Initially thought it was way bigger than what I had in mind, but soon after placing it in a nice place, it is able to fill the room with very good quality of display screen and size. We are very happy.... Well worth the investment... Yes it is just that. Few things to keep in mind: 1) Viewing angle is not very wide... will work though if positioned nicely. 2) Does not allow for the slide show to be paused.. not many will need it though. 3) Outside frame reflects light... again can be worked with good positioning.
