my GSD has high herding instincts and lives for her herding balls, has made her into a massive muscle female ( gentle and loving as a puppy) with high intinct. we have several pain herding balls of different sizes that are just really hardcso she can't pick them up, has to herd. this ball is much smaller and she can pick it up, but the noises it makes drives her to toss and throw herself which givescme a bresk to do something othercthan stand at the top of a hill throwing the herding balls for a coupl of hours a day... much needed excersize of body and mind. it does not in any way replace the herding balls, a necessity for her high instinct, but it gives me a bresk to do a few things in the meantime. they are also not indestructable. The herding balls she can not destroy. But she has fun with this little ball.
