I love these chairs. They were tricky at first to assemble. The second chair went faster. I put the seat upside down on the couch, sat on the floor and used a low power screw driver with a hex bit. I put the back upside down and put the semi assembled seat and chair legs upside down on top and finished. Then once it was loose bolted, i tightened all the bolts in rotation and turned it over and it was done.

To be honest I would not have tried to assemble them myself, and it took my husband about 1/2 hr apiece to put them together. But I call it sweat equity for super solid and comfortable chairs at an affordable price.
