Disney Classic Mickey Waffle Maker, Brushed Stainless Steel,Silver, 7" waffle

Wished we had bought this SOONER. Making the waffles is so easy and fun. If expecting to cook for guests who want to hurry off to Disney World or other fun stuff, be sure to cook enough waffles ahead of time. Just throw the waffles in a freezer bag (stack and store FLAT), then they can be warmed up in a toaster or toaster oven for breakfast. It takes too long to make people wait for one waffle at a time, unless it's a small group. These waffles look just like the ones served in the Disney resort hotels. Recipes are included, but I used my grandmother's waffle recipe. The only real difference is that the eggs are separated before mixing. The yolks go into the batter, and the whites are beaten (in a separate little bowl) with a hand-mixer into stiff peaks (like meringue) and then "folded" into the batter. Don't stir too much; small bubbles and lumps are perfectly okay. You don't need to oil the waffle maker before each waffle to be cooked -- only oil the mickey FACE in the maker before the first waffle. You are going to pour the batter (1/2 cup) into the Mickey face, only. Just a little nonstick spray spread around with a paper towel will do the trick so not too messy or oily. They brown nicely and are delicious. Easy clean-up.
