Retro look for LED running lights

Using these as daytime running lights on a 1967 Datsun 1600 Roadster. I replaced the H3-mount halogen bulbs with H3-mount LED bulbs (warm 3000K color), which provides a great bright yellow appearance that is easily visible from a distance in daytime. The retrofit and install were all quite easy. Love the build quality and retro look of the chrome housing and old-school amber lenses.

Don't judge these fog lamps because of price...

I used these amber fog lights on my 52 Plymouth. They were simple to mount, measure, drill two holes and mount them. In my case I had the splash apron for mounting to. You will need a 30Amp relay, wire, and a switch of some kind. The H3 halogen bulbs, give plenty of brightness. The lights are very vintage looking, however, could easily look at home on any new car. The chrome is good quality. I wish that the lights had the cap on top like the old Guide lights W/the Mopar markings. A great buy ...

Nice quality product

This amber fog lamp is one of the few available in a 4.5"" form factor (5"" overall OD) and with a replaceable H-3 quartz bulb. The lamp assembly was an ideal fit into the light cavity in my car. Build quality is quite good considering the cost of the unit. The chrome shell is metal, not plastic. Replacement bulb housings are available from Speedway, a plus for long term maintenance. I would have preferred a separate ground wire to insure a good electrical instead of relying on the metal housing mount, but it's fine. In addition, this was designed for a vertical bumper mount, and the range of adjustment with the hardware provided is fine for that. Other, more expensive lamp assemblies include brackets that provide a larger range of motion for add'l mounting options and aiming angles. Due to my semi-custom install, instead of routing the source wire through the hollow mount bolt, I drilled a hole in the chrome housing and routed the source wire through the opening with a grommet. It's not as though these are rare Euro components that shouldn't be modified to fit. Suggest using a relay so the lights receive max. voltage for the best light output. All in all, a very nice product with a wide range of applications.
