Reasonably priced solution to control my blinds

After searching for a solution to automate my horizontal blinds for the past two years, I finally ran across this one. Many of the other solutions are much more expensive or don't allow me to also operate the blinds manually. This solution runs on an internal rechargeable battery and includes a small solar panel that sticks to the inside of the window to keep the battery charged. It operates by rotating the existing tilt rod on your blinds, and can operate without a hub if you're not looking to access it while away from home, or integrate it with other hubs. I did follow up by purchasing an additional 3-pack of these, which did include a hub mini. I didn't need the latest version of their hub, as I intended to integrate it into my Hubitat smart hub.

makes life easier

After opening the box. i noticed a lot of different materials in it. it comes with instructions but what made it easy for me was a step-by-step youtube video. it was fairly easy to install. the connection setup was a breeze. so far no problems and im able to set my timer to open and close throughout the day. it really helps that switchbot included a solar charger.

Kind of pricey, but cheaper than any other automatic blind controllers. Was a little cumbersome to install, but you can hide it behind a curtain. As far as function, they are working great the battery seems to last a long time. The solar charger when exposed to enough, sun keeps it at 100%. I'm really glad I purchased this item
