Impressive doll

I'm very impressed by the quality of the doll, from her face mold to her body type. The doll was clearly molded with great attention to details of Ms. Muhammad's face and body. If you look closely, you can see that the doll even has well-defined hamstring muscles on the back of her leg, just like you'd expect from an Olympic athlete! Also, I'm relieved that real cloth was used for her outfit. Since the outfit is so snug, I was a bit worried that Barbie might just do a molded outfit, but that was thankfully not the case. It's been so fun to examine this doll closely and notice all the little details.

LOVELY DOLL, BUT IMPROPERLY PACKED FOR SHIPPING!

Got mine when she was first released! The only issue I have is with the box. I don't know whose job it is to pack the dolls, but they did a lousy job in packing my doll, because the back of the box is crushed, and it looks like she was just stuffed into the box in which she was shipped. Either fix that or get rid of those air pillows. Packing peanuts will do just fine. I had considered sending her back because of her damaged package but have decided to keep her because I've wanted her since the announcement about her was made. Please see that this doesn't happen again!

Well worth the wait

My mother collects African American dolls and she was so surprised and happy to received this one. She actually looks like Ms. Muhammad and that was very important .
