So far it is the best hose reel I believe I've owned! We've had many in the past, made of plastic; but this one is all metal. We do take care of our outdoor equipment, by putting it in the shed. So, I have high hopes this will provide many years of service. It was a little tricky to assemble; the directions are not clear. So, pay close attention to the pictures as well as the written directions!
