Jonathan Karrant is truly a great interpreter of the written word; he is a storyteller. He knows just how to paint a picture with a song. On the album 'On & On', he is joined with some of the top musicians in California. Jonathan chose songs that are not the typical standard; giving each one an interesting and contemporary arrangement. He will tell you that he has an innate connection with music writers of the past, masters like Cole Porter (they share the same birthday), George Gershwin, Sammie Cahn, Julie Styne, Johnny Mercer, to mention a few. He has a great respect for such giants as Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Wilson and Sarah Vaughan.
