it was and easy install and perfect fit with guidance of a YouTube video. just do a quick search for it online for whatever brand you are buying this for, I used it on my Maytag Bravos top loader turbine free. a little different of the console removal then the video, but nonetheless, very easy. keep in mind this comes locked, likely. I ordered another one from another site once I installed this one and it seemed too small for my latch in the lid to fit into it as it just bumped and stopped like a bumper. by chance, I happen to pawn a YouTube of a guy showing how to unlock these replacement parts before they are installed, and that was exactly all I needed to do and it was a perfect fit and has been seamless since.
