Though Earth Crisis was inactive for most of the 2000s, the muscular, breakdown-heavy style of metalcore the band helped to pioneer continued to grow. With Salvation of Innocents, the band's third album since their 2007 re-formation, the Syracuse, New York outfit show they're still the masters of their domain. Where other bands flatter to deceive with over the top guitar stunts and studio effects, Earth Crisis keep things simple, brutal, and effective, opting to go for maximum impact with every track.
