Let them sleep.

Using this in the coop during 20 degrees and below times. Heats up immediately and keeps the chicks warm without light so they can sleep. Light in winter keeps them laying but light all night long makes them upset. You can choose how much heat you need. I choose 75W for a 4x8 coop. Works great.
