They were a popular East Coast quot;Beach Musicquot; group who released many up-tempo popular R&B hits in the 1960's. Atlanta's Tams found an audience in regional markets, but were unable to break the fascination with the Motown sound of the time to be able to expand their audience nationwide because their label didn't have the muscle that Berry Gordy did. Still, the group delivered several times with quot;Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happyquot;, quot;What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Amquot; and quot;Hey Girl Don't Bother Mequot;.
