My mountain bike has the rear shook mounted underneath the top tube of the frame. I am unable to Larger water bottles will not easily fit into the holder mounted on the down or bottom tube of my frame. This water fits perfectly in the holder mounted to my downtube.

My kids love their new bottles , it's the perfect size for their bike holders. They will also use it at school, but the only issue they are having , it's hard to pull the knob out to drink from it . One of the boys can't do it , they ask someone else .
