The most important thing is that my loves it. In fact we ordered it when she first saw one and she loved that one until I watched it in the dishwasher, and absolute no no with this particular cup. it was ruined ! I had to order a new one because she loved it so much . that was this one and she loved it! It is a classical Cheshire Cat the only thing left is the smile . except for my wallet . having to buy two of them because I was dumb enough to wash it in a dishwasher and ruin it was a bit more than I hoped for and I wish it wasn't so instinctive to put things in the dishwasher but I know that it's possible to make such a thing and not use the materials that are used and wash it in the dishwasher . don't ask me what materials those are because I don't know but I know that I've seen them. Still as a novelty it's cute as long as you don't forget that you cannot place it in the dishwasher it absolutely lives up to everything it's meant to be with the exception of durability it's absolutely a beautiful piece of art , functional art! For having that rare cup that you use to show off to guests and enjoy on those days where you're giving yourself a treat and a reminder of a book that you've read many times and love. If I ruined it I would buy it again for her because I know how much she likes it. But this is a clear case of caveat emptor! Let the buyer beware. But I highly recommend it for those who would love it , flaws and all! ❣️❤️👀😍👍
