Shadow of Mordor - Great Game

Looks like its going to be one of the years BEST games. From a parental standpoint, definitely for the more mature audience. Intense violence sequences, brutality, etc. My only problem was that Walmart sent me the WRONG copy of the game. Meaning that pre-orders got a code that gave you a specific rune depending on who you bought it from. I bought it from Walmart because of the rune you were to get. Well short story I got a different rune, NOT what I thought I was getting. But the game itself is GREAT!

Engaging gameplay

I've played through initially on the PC version, GREAT graphics & sound. Also, the storyline is interesting with cutscenes for the main plot (some are a bit humorous, keeps things 'light'.) I may look at buying a gamepad, as to continually using 'stealth mode', my left little finger (for the Shift Key - Stealth) is getting nearly 'numb' from the constant use. Or, maybe I shouldn't play so many hours? (LOL!) The Nemesis system is intriguing, pitting you against enemies you encounter, they remember you if you meet up with them again. I'm having a bit of difficulty mastering some of the neat moves (I'm an 'old dude', maybe not as quick as younger kids!). Also, I wish the Tutorial area was a bit more specific for the key combinations to make an ability work (I'm thinking particularly about a bow attack that transports you immediately to the enemy for a final death blow! Sounds effective, just haven't been able to get the combo correct to use it.) After getting killed a lot in my initial game, after about 12 hours in, I restarted, and used what I'd learned about attacks, combos, etc. Now I'm enjoying the game much more as I'm not as frustrated with dying so much (though, I still do ... seems more hordes of Orcs attack you as you get further in the storyline where you have quests that require entering a Stronghold.) But, it's all good, as progression also leads to advanced and 'string' attacks that keep you alive. Now I just need to find a good 'walkthrough' guide, as in my initial game I acquired a Rune that provides health restoration as you attack / battle. I could sure use that in my 'new' game, extend my life more (especially now as there are more Captains who have 'poison' with their attacks!) Go at it ... get those Orcs for killing your family and leaving you in the Wraith world!! :D
