Unopened pet food can be kept until best if used by date. Once opened, for best results use within 8 weeks. Always provide your dog access to fresh, clean water. Wash your hands after handling your pet's food and bowls. Store in a cool dry place.
Feeding Instructions
FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS: Food intake requirements vary depending on age, activity and environment, and should be adjusted accordingly to maintain optimum body condition. Weaning Puppies: Start puppies on Pure Balance Poultry Free Grain Free Lamb & Fava Bean Recipe Food for Dogs as soon as they begin to chew solid food, usually 3-4 weeks of age. Allow them to eat as much as they want until fully weaned (6-8 weeks of age). Growing Puppies: After weaning, feed 2-3 times the recommended adult amount in three meals per day until 6 months of age, then twice daily until 12 months. Food can be moistened to help encourage puppies to start eating solid food. To serve moistened, mix 1/4 part warm water (not hot) with 2 parts of Pure Balance Poultry Free Grain Free Lamb & Fava Bean Recipe Food for Dogs and stir. If you choose to moisten, discard remaining food after 30 minutes to ensure product freshness. Reproduction and Lactation: Feed pregnant females 1.5 times the amount shown for their non-pregnant weight. Feed lactating females up to 3 times the amount shown for their non-pregnant weight. Switching to Pure Balance: When you first bring your new companion home or when you change dog foods, our dog will need help transitioning to the new Pure Balance dog food. Begin by switching to the new food slowly over the course of 6-10 days. Each day mix a little more of the new Pure Balance dog food with a little less of your current dog food until you are feeding 100% Pure Balance dog food. Remember to provide plenty of fresh water in a clean container at all times. Regular veterinary visits are recommended to ensure your dog stays healthy.
