this item was a gift to a friend. My friend really loves the watch. he had a Casio watch before and really loves it. he loved the price and how it functions.

I've owned a few of these over the years and love them. They're simple, rugged, water resistant and have a long-lasting battery. Great for everyday use. Pressing the button activates the backlight to make it easy to see in the dark. While I avoid using it since it drains the battery faster, the manual says the battery should still last 3 years if you use the backlight for 9 seconds a day. You can also see the date on it, but you'll need to manually move it back to the 1st of if that month ends on the 28th or 30th. You'll also need to be mindful of which time of day you set the date so the watch changes the date at midnight and not at noon.
