I love 'em.

Bought a pair of these to try them out and so far I love them. They're more comfortable to wear all day than regular Chucks, and the insoles can be swapped out for different ones. The canvas feels stronger, the soles are thicker, one thing I noticed immediately is there's none of that fuzzy stuff like on the regulars and when walking on stuff like gravel, I'll barely feel the rocks as I step on them. Other than that, I don't think I'm going back with regular Chucks, these Chuck 70's are goated.

Stylish and Comfy

Purchased these for my teenage daughter who prefers this style over the Classic Chucks. The contrast stitching on the back seam is a nice detail. The vintage toe cap is different than the the Classic Chucks and makes these shoes more stylish. Plus they're super comfortable for everyday wear.

Cost savings heel counter

I ordered two pairs of the 70s after watching some videos regarding the construction, so you can imagine my surprise when I found that Converse has basically ruined any reason to buy these over the regular all-stars. Really a canvas heel counter is too expensive so we'll replace it with a stiff uncomfortable plastic one instead?? I don't think I'll be buying any more chucks until this change gets reversed. If you want to market something as heritage and charge a premium then leave it alone and stop trying to nickel and dime your customers.
