Pyrex Glass Bakeware Round Pie Plate 9 x 1.2"" (Pack of 2)

I have been baking since I was a child, which was well over 50 years ago. One Thanksgiving, I decided to make the famous pumpkin pie. I thought it turned out well, but my Dad consistently would NOT eat the edge of the crust. That bothered me, so I began to experiment. Tried lard, which makes an amazing crust, but may not be good for people with high cholesterol, fat in sticks or a can, and finally ended up using butter. The crust was flaky (dont't mix it too much, roll out between two pieces of plastic film just enough to make it flat and large enough for the pie pan) but Dad still didnt eat the edges. Changed from ceramic, fluted, metal, and disposable aluminum pie pans to glass pyrex, and that was all it took. Dad ate every last crumb of the crust AND the edges. Absolutely swear by pyrex now.
