Love the natural waistline - no muffin top!

The purple lilac color of these shorts caught my eye, so I tried on my usual shorts size at Walmart. They were too tight in the butt and hip, so I dropped my pride and sized up. So glad I did. They are comfortable and I think flattering. There is stretch in the waistband, but it's not an obvious elastic. The only thing I would change is the Lee patch on the rear end. They look nice compared to a lot of my more casual shorts, and I happened to have a tank from Loft that matched well. Great purchase (despite having to buy a bigger size)!
