Not an awful Supermarine Spitfire plastic model

These little cheapie plastic models are worth maybe five bucks, if that. They're not terrible but certainly not the best. The specifications say these kits are 1:48 in scale, but the finished model is a touch smaller than that when you actually measure the wingspan and do the math. These planes contain a fair number of parts and are intended to be assembled without any glue, but it takes a fairly experienced modeler to complete a finished product which is sturdy and looks presentable. One issue I have is the molding of some parts in questionable color; the version in Army Green has its machine guns and propeller molded in white plastic, not black like they should be. These kits aren't too bad, but they aren't terrific.
