I was shocked!
Bought a similar AC unit for my room, paid 40 more than this one and this one blows air in 4 directions as opposed to my 2. Bought this for my mother whose room gets unbearably hot during the afternoons and her dog doesn't help much either. She plugged it in and within a hour the temp had gone from 98 degrees to 90 (it's a large room) so very pleased . Said she had the best night sleep in months thanks to this wonderful machine so we are both VERY happy! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I would denfitley buy it again, work well, reasonable priced
I'm using the Haier to cool the bedroom, which is the hottest room of the house. I'm very pleased with the job it's doing. Once it starts to get near bedtime. I first put the fan on high which brings the room temp. down at least 3 to 4 degrees, then switch to the air conditioner. The room cools down quit quickly after that depending on how cold I want the room to be. You can hear the conditioner motor when it kicks into high gear, but that doesn't wake me once room is cool and I'm asleep. FYI bedroom is approx. 200SFT
