Thanks to its excellent value for money thei-Flow makes training in Tacx’s virtual worlds accessible to everyone.This popular trainer with ergonomically shaped frame slightly reboundswhile cycling. It is operated through the handlebar interface. Thei-Flow includes the Tacx Trainer software 4, Basic with the possibilityto upgrade.The electro magnetic brake is less powerful than the motor brake – thewheel is not being driven – but it does guarantee a very realisticcycling experience. You can really feel the rolling, air and inclineresistances which you encounter while cycling, you immediately noticewhether you are riding on a paved road, a wood path, through the sandor on the grass. The braking system consists of 6 permanent-magnets, 6controllable electro magnets and a 2 kg flywheel. The maximumresistance is 800 Watt.Electro brakeThe i-Flow works with an electro brake. By placing magnets and electromagnets beside a rotating aluminum disc, eddy currents are createdwhich generate an opposing magnetic field. In this way a non-contact,maintenance-free brake is realized that is also silent. Thanks to theelectro brake a resistance can be set that you also experience on theroad or in a climb.Virtual speedThe electro brake does not have a downhill drive, such as the motorbrake of the i-Genius, and it generates less power while riding uphill.When you are cycling in a virtual terrain or in a film you can getoutside the range for which the brake is intended. To allow cyclists with amotor brake and cyclists with an electro brake to ride races againsteach other in Multiplayer, Tacx has developed the virtual speed.
