This one is energy efficient and the best feature is the dimmer knob to make it as low or high as you like. The quality is also excellent. I expect this to last us another 10 years.

quiet, reduces need for air-conditioning

I wanted a quiet fan that was vertically adjustable and this is it - perfectly. I wanted air to circulate but not blow directly on people so I tilt the fan to about 120 degrees so it up toward ceiling and opposite wall, reducing the need for air conditioning. Room is about 15 x 18, faces west and south so can get pretty hot. The fan is nearly silent until it reaches about 75% power but I haven't yet needed the wind to be that strong. I've only had it about a month so do not yet know about durability.
