So far, so good

This is the third time we are purchasing this same 27 inch double oven. Even with moderate use and never having used the self clean feature, they just haven't lasted long. This one was more expensive even though it doesn't have convection feature. Due to kitchen configuration, we are locked into the 27" width. We hope this one lasts longer. Will give a 5 star rating as it's too soon to tell.

Just one issue

I love my new GE Double Wall Oven. The only issue I am having is the oven racks are difficult to move in and out and scratch the wall of the oven. I would love it if someone could tell me what we can do to rectify this issue. The ovens are larger that what I had and are wonderful. The remote control makes it easy to set and monitor. The temperature cooks as expected and everything I have baked so far has come out to perfection.

this is a BIG improvement over my older GE double

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received today. Installed today with help from a friend (this is a heavy appliance). This was to replace an older GE double oven and I was glad to see that the rough opening dimensions were almost the same because it's going into a custom built maple cabinet I made about 20 years ago. Unit fit right in like the cabinet was made for it, and the total install took about an hour with help from one friend. My advice, DO remove both doors as they suggest as this bad boy is heavy and those doors weigh a lot. Great to see that the unit vents down rather than up like the previous oven, which caused steam condensation on the upper cabinet and discolored the oven control panel
