Introducing the two port MiniView Micro USB PLUS KVM switch from IOGEAR - the simplest way to simultaneously run and share audio among two computers with a single USB keyboard, monitor and USB mouse. Excellent Line of KVM Products
Despite there being cheaper products available that performed the function I was looking for, I selected this brand because I have used their KVM switches in the past and been very pleased with their performance. The best feature they have is that they use hot keys on the keyboard to perform switching functions, allowing the switch itself to be hidden from view, no need to place it where you can get to it to use a manual switch. The construction is good, cables are sturdy, unlike some competing products that have cheap cables. Another nice feature is that these devices emulate a keyboard and mouse to the system they are connected to, so you can power the system up with this plugged in and it sees a keyboard and mouse even if none are plugged in at the time. One thing to watch out for, for the hot keys to work, the keyboard MUST be plugged into the USB port marked with the keyboard symbol. The value at Wal-Mart.com is also quite good, I checked the prices on this device at some local retailers, off the shelf prices were as much as 2 - 3 times the price!
