An actuator is a component of a machine that is responsible for moving and controlling a mechanism or system, for example by opening a valve. In simple terms, it is a "mover". A door is a hinged or otherwise movable panel that allows access to an enclosure, cabinet, bin, or other cavity or container. A door assembly comprises the components that work in tandem to allow the door to function properly. Doors may be hinged and swing open and closed, or they may slide within a frame. Magnets are found in all kinds of restaurant equipment and serve many purposes. Magnets are useful for their "stickiness" with ferrous metals. In the simplest foodservice equipment designs they are used to keep swinging doors secure on rolling service carts. Some more complex uses integrate magnets with motorized systems to provide contactless magnetic drives as seen in certain high volume blending systems.
