I purchased this laptop to replaced my old Sony VAIO laptop that I had for years. Normally I am a Mac user. I used my old laptop as a Linux box. I configured this laptop with Virtual Box, to install Linux CentOS 8 while keeping the Windows 10 portion to work on SQL Server 2019. The performance of the laptop is much better than I had expected. This is my first experience with a Ryzen 5 processor. The Quad Core makes the boot time and running several applications run more seamlessly than the older AMD chipset. For those working on IDE's while running other applications, this chipset will work. The graphics is HD quality and remains HD quality when I use the Linux side. The 1TB HDD is great for Storage. I am a coder, so building and compiling code is perfect on this machine. If I was a gamer, I definitely would upgrade the RAM to 16 or 32 GB and probably go with an I7 or I9 chip. The screen size is bigger than I thought, and the weight is perfect. For the price, I couldn't be happier. This was a happy balance of performance and price. I would highly recommend this laptop for someone who codes and also wants to add another Operating System onto their laptop. Hopefully this review helps someone with their decision.

I purchased this in late September and it worked beautifully and I was impressed with it. About 2 weeks later I noticed one of the hinges on display was cracked almost completely through. I went to website and requested a return and replacement. The customer service representative was excellent and processed a replacement immediately and sent a prepaid return label.
