Can't say enough good things ...

I'm a designer, and have used these candles for two years. One set of batteries lasts until Spring. And how wonderful that I never have to run around turning them on and off every day! Unlike all others I've seen, they stay on a full 8 hours, not just 4 which isn't nearly long enough. Most other reviews pan the plastic bases and greenish color light. There is nothing wrong about either. They sit in the windows and provide background ambiance, exactly their purpose. I'd much rather have a plastic base than cords hanging from each sill. Oh, mine are brass and a daughter's are pewter. We both love them and highly recommend them!
