Instructions

Position the Tie Out Reel in an area that is free of obstacles that can entangle your dog. Using the supplied screws mount the Reel securely to the desired surface so that the bracket is immovable. If you need to mount it to a surface other than wood your local hardware store can supply you with the appropriate screws. This Tie Out Reel is not a toy and needs to be fastened securely.
Ensure the tie out is securely fixed before clipping it to your dogs collar. When retracting the cable or unhooking it from your dogs collar guide the cable end back to the reel fully while holding it.

This is a good value. The build is sturdy. The retractable wire is pretty strong. My 63 pound pointer mix accidentally took off running full speed with it attached to her. It stopped her in her tracks! (She was fine.) I'm really impressed with it.
