These are good for hiking,golfing or even when you go bowling at location wgen it is very warn inside sych as late spring,summer and early fall. These shorts are perfect! The only thing I would change would be to shorten the inseam by 1 inch. They cover my knees but that is no deal breaker. I love the slip in pockets that rest outside the cargo pockets. My phone and glasses fit into them perfectly, leaving the button down cargo pockets available for bulkier items. The cotton material is of a heavier weight so I know they are going to last a long time yet they have been very comfortable during the heat of Summer. They come with a built in belt which I'm glad is totally removable.
