Ziploc Slider Storage Bags, Quart, 76 ct

These storage bags deliver just what they say they will: they remain open while you fill them, they zip closed when you are ready to close them and they hold about a quart. I decided to challenge them with nuts, choosing Pistachio nuts which I had on hand. I opened and set up the bag, and it remained open while I poured in the nuts. I zipped it closed, and then I decided to test the closure by submersing the bag in water. I am happy to report that the nuts remained dry. Next I set up the bag, and made an attempt to pour in about a quart of water. This was not successful. While it would hold about a quart it could not remain open and upright when pouring in the liquid. This is understandable and no promise is made that the bag will stand when one is pouring in a liquid. If you have ever tried to pour left over vegetables or dried beans into a plastic bag you will understand how helpful it is to have bags which will stand up and remain open. And the zipper is very helpful and closes securely. If you have difficulty pressing storage bags closed you will find these to be a nice alternative. Do remember to remind your family to unzip, and not just pull open these bags. All in all I am happy to recommend the bags.
